 Introduction
Inspired by the Ministry of
International Trade and Industry (MITI) and its continuous efforts in
promoting the Malaysian economy to foreign investors, MALAYSIA PROGRESS
was given the thumbs up and started its maiden issue more than two decades
ago.
As an authoritative ANNUAL, MALAYSIA PROGRESS is obviously an
appropriate platform to create business opportunities, smart partnership
linkages and ultimately develop the full economy potential of Malaysia.
With a highly strategic circulation that reaches only decision and policy
makers, MALAYSIA PROGRESS is instrumental in creating economic spin-offs
and enhancing existing entities in the process of nation
building.
In the beginning, MALAYSIA PROGRESS was exclusively
targeted at selected State Focus initially but was soon extended to
include National Agenda such as Privatisation, Malaysian Incorporated
Projects, Look East Policy, "FRENCH INVESTORS IN MALAYSIA", "MALAYSIA
& GERMANY, PARTNERS IN PROGRESS" and Landmark Editions, i.e. Part 1
& 11 of SOUTH AFRICA & MALAYSIA, PARTNERS IN PROGRESS and
Three-in-One Special Supplement on PUTRAJAYA, CYBERJAYA & THE
MULTIMEDIA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (graced by the MDC Executive Chairman's
Message).
MALAYSIA PROGRESS has today become the longest
established ECONOMIC ANNUAL. Its credentials has also been strongly
reinforced by endorsements from leading Ministers including The Minister
of International Trade & Industry and The Minister of
Telecommunications & Multimedia. Compliments from Foreign Embassies
had also inspired MALAYSIA PROGRESS efforts to support Vision
2020.
MALAYSIA PROGRESS' significant contribution towards the nation
building process has not only been seen as noble but strategic and
meaningful as invited advertisers will normally obtain maximum mileage, in
view of MALAYSIA PROGRESS's concept of One Company per Industry Concept
(OCIC).
MALAYSIA PROGRESS is expected to introduce "The New Kids On
The Block in the New Era" with the mix of the old economy and the new
economy. This will give impetus and rejuvenate the linkages between the
old and the new economy, thus resulting in better positioning of the
economy.
